My termites/ Anay Experience

 Its Sabado, 8/31/2024  and there's an mental health outing at the office but I did not go. I had plans on Saturday. Most of it didnt push thru, because of the termites.

Anyway, Last Wednesday, I smell something when I went inside my room . I dont have time to search, I know its not a rat coz the smell is faint. I smell it near  the door, so it could be a dead lizard.

On Saturday, I started my search, Lo and behold, my boxes were infested with termites,  the box the contained my continuous paper, and another box that contained old dvds. I quickly burned the boxes and paper, I dont want my Mom to see. I  had a shower afterwards coz I was full of dirt and smoked paper

I remembered I have a box of books on the other side of the room, I prayed that it is spared.  Well , I touched the box that contained the books. First it felt glued to the floor, (bad sign), then  parts of the box disintegrated in my hands.  Confirmed Termites. I had a hard time removing the box. I was looking for a garbage bag, just couldnt find one.

eto tip: If your room or part of your house has been wet  due to leaks from ceiling (mine was typhoon Odette and  the rain went thru my window)  Chances are , your boxes aint safe. I remember checking it  months before, because my mom suspects there are termites in the room. I did check my box,it was ok, but but that was months ago. Part of the floor is partially eaten, so i have to check it on a regular bases and spray. I had a second round of burning the books.  A lot of the books are as hard as rocks. I had to burn them just in case a live one is in there. BTW, I didnt see any crawling creatures, maybe they come only at night. I dont know where they are now. 

Observation: ITs only the boxes and its contents that were targetted by the termites. I do know termites love books coz  I used to have books that was infested by termites and it was placed in a cabinet. The cabinet was okey, it was only the books that were eaten.  I had papers just placed on the floor  but so far all are okey, I moved it  in another location.  so there, dont use  cartons , they attract termites,  use those plastic box instead.

its 9pm, so far the smell is gone. my mom is pissed, as usual. she always blames me for the pests
