I havent posted for a while because I
was busy with work and training (or at least trying to) for my first
21k. Since I was rejected by the Good Run, my first 21k will be
Hunat Sugbo 3 this coming June 23, 2013. Registration is ongoing at
Park Lane Hotel near Cebu Business Bark Ayala, you can get the
singlet and race bib right away. Hope everyone can join para daghan
nata, besides talagsason ra ang 21k sa cebu city uptown area. Most of
the 21k's are in Mandaue City.
I joined 2 16k after SM to SM run ,
unfortunately no finishers medal were given. I also started swimming
again as my cross training and I do lsd every sunday or saturday,
depends on my mood and the weather. I try to run one hour on weekdays
and I purchased 2 new shorts (nike and body music). I hope my
training is enough to for this June.
Takbo Laban sa Krimen
March 16 2013 16k timer was not
working, estimated is 2 hours and 30 minutes (or more)
start/finish IT Park
I was the last finisher again. The
marshal riding the motorcycle started following me at san carlos
seminary but fortunately, he stopped after 1k. I was feeling
nostalgic becoz I went back to Banawa again, which is now one of my
fave locations to jog. I found a cute father and kid running and I
got to talk with them. We also met 2 students who ran the 10k at cebu
business bark, about 3k from the finish line. I noticed when I
crossed the finish line, the timer wasnt working, a big Boo. One
thing I also noticed, there are only few marshals around. This was my
first 16k, and my body ached after the run.
Break the Silence Run
April 21 2013 16k 2:30
Ayala Terrraces
After a 4 day GACPA seminar at Lapulapu
city, just sitting, listening to the speaker, then eating making
tsika, I wasnt really in the mood to exercise, At 1:OO am, rain
starting to pour heavily, bummer, I thought, this is gonna be a bad
day “Should I run?” Still I woke up at 3:40 am, ate my breakfast
and got dressed. When I went out, ambon na lang ang rain, but my
body still felt heavy and I felt lazy. Sometimes we have to push
ourselves to continue to run. Besides, I need to train for my 21k, I
cant stop now. When I arrived at Ayala, the program already started.
I removed my pedals, I was wearing my nike shorts underneath and
prepared my gear. The weather was perfect, a bit cool, a little
shower and no sun, wow! I am so lucky. After 3-4k, I starting
feeling the love for the run, its a wonderful feeling. I am so happy
to report that I am not the last runner, my time was still
consistent, there's just many lazy runners running with me hehe..But
my shoes got wet...booo...also, There are fewer marshalls
round...what happened? Probably busy with the campaign period. I was
so wet because I perspired a lot..as in a lot..tulo gyud singot
nako..hapdos pud ang skin where my 2 legs touch when running..i
should do something about this.Overall I have no regrets, I didnt
expect to finish the run, I did it. I'm glad a registered in this
run.
Reminders: 2 runs this May. May 12
(yup, day b4 election) San Isidro Parish Run (talamban cebu) and Run
for BB5 ( Chong Hua Hospital ) on May 26. Just go to Runnr's Ayala
for the registration forms. Running and biking are really popular
here in Cebu and I hope more people will learn to love running and
other forms of exercise.
